Annoyed

I'm really tired of TV and movie writers that don't know music terms. I've watched more than one show and movie recently where they don't know the difference between sharp/flat and major/minor. Sharp and flat are for notes major and minor are for chords. You can't play one note and call it E minor. It would be E flat.

Why can't writers do their research?

It reminds me of the show a few years back that said a character had AO negative blood. That blood type doesn't exist.

Mistakes like this ruin the experience for me.

Internet troubles

I was trying to access PayPal and had trouble. I thought the trouble was with PayPal, but now I can't access any internet on my laptop. I can't access PayPal on my phone, but I can access everything else on my phone. I think it's a password problem with PayPal on my phone. I don't think my account is compromised. The font used on my computer where I can see my passwords makes is difficult to know what some letters and numbers are. I think I tried too many times and need to wait to request a new password.

I do know that the internet trouble on my laptop is because of my antivirus. The latest update is supposed to add Wi-Fi protection, but it's blocking everything. I had the internet working for a couple minutes after doing a system restore, but the program updated, and I lost internet again. I'm going to try a uninstall/reinstalled and see if it works. I don't want to turn off updates, but I don't know how else to fix it. I was looking at their forums, and others are having the same trouble. Some have had success with a clean reinstall.

Wish me luck.

I really need to stop reading comments on local news posts. Half the people are ignorant people who think they know everything. The others are people that just like to stir up trouble. There are one or two people making intelligent comments, but you have to dig to find those comments.

Bad movie

I am a sucker for horribly bad movies. I'm watching a terrible movie right now, but I can't turn it off because I have to know how it ends. It's a crazy premise with science that makes no sense at all.

The movie is Snowpiercer, which is the name of a train. The whole world is frozen, and every person still alive lives on a train running on a track circling the world. The train has been running nonstop for 17 years. If the train stops, everyone will freeze to death. The lower class revolts by fighting their way through all the cars of the train to get to the leader in the first car.

It's so bad and weird, but I just can't stop watching.

Feeling better

I am feeling better and getting my appetite back. I have been craving comfort foods I ate years ago. Of course, my comfort foods are apparently very strange according to people I've talked to at work.

It may be strange, but I am still craving buttered toast dipped in hot chocolate. It's something I had a lot during cold weather when I was growing up. Now I want some and don't have any.

I have wonderful friends. Thanks for help, everyone, both emotional and other help.

I figured out how I missed my payment. Somehow, I paid one bill twice and forgot the other bill. At least I won't need to pay the other bill next month.

I just realized that the money I spent on toilet paper and flu medicine yesterday didn't go through yet. That's more money that I'm short. I don't know how I missed the payment.

Need help

Can anyone loan me a little money to help pay my utilities. I didn't realize I'd missed a payment until I just got a disconnect notice in the mail. I have about half of what I need. I am $25 short because of late fees, and they will charge me an extra $50 if I don't pay by the 17th. I get paid on the 19th and will pay back anyone that can help me out. I only need a loan until Friday. You can send to my Paypal account if you can help. I don't want to be without heat since I never know what the weather will be like here this time of year.

Feeling worse

I tried to eat a little bit, and it was a big mistake. Now I feel worse than I did this morning. I am obviously still sick. I called off work for tomorrow, and I'm going back to sleep now.

Sick

I'm sick. It feels like the flu. Fever, chills, achy, throwing up, and other things too gross to mention. I thought I was going to have to trudged to the store for toilet paper, but a friend from work brought me some. I am very thankful for that. Now, I just need my stomach to settle down so I can sleep and get better.

A mix of snow and sleet just started falling. I'm glad I got my errands done early. If you need to be out in this bad weather, be careful. I'm sure it's slick out there. Stay safe, everyone!

I tell someone to have a great day. They respond, "Thanks. I will." They don't wish me a nice day or even say "you too." This has happened so often recently. Are people really that wrapped up in themselves?

work

I survived working black Friday and Saturday. It actually wasn't that bad. I didn't directly work with customers much. I did clean up, put up sale signs, and other little tasks that my OCD makes me love doing. The only bad thing is that I ate way too much of the food that coworkers brought to share. I hope I don't gain back too much of the weight I've been losing.

New neighbors have things to learn.

  • Nov. 17th, 2014 at 6:50 PM
Willow - new
I have new neighbors living in the apartment across the hall diagonally from me. They are loud and obnoxious. Their company doesn't know what unit they're in and buzz all of us. Then they open their door and loudly talk in the doorway and hall before going inside. Then a little while later, they repeat the long, loud conversation in the doorway and hall before closing the door. I can't really say anything to them because they don't speak English (or don't speak English very well). This is the second day in a row. It wouldn't bother me as much if I could escape to another room, but I have a studio apartment. I hope this doesn't happen every evening. I don't know if they did this on Friday or Saturday or if they'll do it the rest of the week. Yesterday and today, both disruptions happened around 6:30. The other days I wasn't - and won't be - home at that time because of work. I'll wait and see what happens next weekend.

Amazing

I saw something amazing when I was waiting to get my hair cut today. I went to Great Clips. As I waited for my turn, I watched a young boy get a haircut. He was a little agitated, and his mother stood right by the chair the whole time. I really didn't think much of it until they were finished and paying at the register. That's when I heard that the boy is autistic. The mother said this was the best haircut he ever had, and she was so happy with how the hairdresser treated him. She took her business card and said she'll be back with her other child and tell her friends.

It was amazing to witness the whole thing. The world needs more people like this hairdresser.

cats are too smart

I have 2 puzzle feeders for Tinker. He can't get the treats out. I don't think he's stupid. I think he's just that lazy. He knows that the few treats inside aren't worth his effort. I think he's too smart for his own good.

By some miracle the large stone broke into two pieces allowing me to pass both smaller stones. I am finally pain free. Thanks, everyone, for all the prayers and support!

Too much pain

I have been trying to pass the kidney stone for over three weeks now. Last week, I felt the stone move. I thought I was going to pass the stone, but it's still there. I have decided that if I don't pass it by lunchtime tomorrow, then I will call the doctor and schedule surgery to remove it. If I happen to pass it after I talk to the doctor, I can always cancel the surgery.

Wish me luck because I do not want to have surgery.

Well, I wrote my first paragraph of my NaNoWriMo novel. Now, I am going to sleep. I will write more later. I just wanted to get started while I had an idea in my head. It was less than 100 words, but it's the first writing I've done in months. So, it's a start.
